Partnership with the Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Companies

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting with Alessandra Capobianco, Manager of the Sofia Office of the Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Companies (ICE), and Francesco Calderoli, Deputy Head of the Italian Embassy in Bulgaria who is in charge of the trade and economic relations. Vladimir Tomov, Chairman of the Investment Council at BCCI, also took part in the meeting.

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov acquainted the Italian partners with the work of the Chamber in support of the business community, emphasizing the excellent cooperation with the Italian chambers of commerce, both at national level and within the Association of the European Chambers of Commerce and Industry “EUROCHAMBRES”, as well as with the individual regions.

Tsvetan Simeonov recalled key events for BCCI and its European partners held in Italy this fall, including the annual meeting of the members of the International Organization of Employers (IOE) from Europe and Central Asia, held in September, the EUROCHAMBRES Economic Forum (EEF 2019), which this year took place on 7-8 October in Rome, and the annual GS1 Regional Forum in Milan.

The Investment Council at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry also organized a presentation of Bulgaria as an investment destination in Milan, Italy on 10 October.

All these events confirm the increased bilateral interest in economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Italy, as well as the European commitment of business and employers' organizations from both countries.

During the meeting more active cooperation between BCCI and ICE was negotiated, while the Italian Embassy reiterated its readiness to provide assistance for the organization of bilateral initiatives aimed at strengthening the bilateral business relations.
