Meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece



H.E. Dimitrios Chronopoulos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to Bulgaria, visited BCCI and met with the Chamber’s President Tsvetan Simeonov.

The current state of the bilateral commercial and economic relations, the dynamics and structure of trade were discussed during the meeting. Tsvetan Simeonov acquainted Ambassador Chronopoulos with the Chamber’s membership in international organizations, as well as with the work of the Unified Trade Register, the Arbitration Court at BCCI and the activities of GS1 Bulgaria.

According to the Ministry of Economy, in January-June 2019 trade between Bulgaria and Greece increased by 14.8% compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to EUR 1.7 billion. Bulgaria’s exports to Greece increased by 13.1% to EUR 1 billion, while imports increased by 17.1% to EUR 775.7 million.
