A delegation of major Chinese tour operators and online tourist platforms visited BCCI

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting with a Chinese delegation made up of representatives of the international tourism exhibitions Beijing International Tourism Expo /BITE/ and Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo /XSRITE/, major Chinese tour operators and online accommodation platforms: Ctrip; Hytours; Hiseas; Huang Bao Che; CAISSA/. The meeting was attended by the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov and the Chairman of the Bulgarian – Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Latchezar Dinev.

The Chinese organizations represented in the delegation account for 60% of China’s market share for international tourism. They are in Bulgaria as part of a European visit aiming to diversify the tourist products offered to Chinese tourists. The delegation has already had meetings in The Hague, Nantes, Paris, the Brittany Region and Sofia. In Bulgaria, they have established contacts with more than 50 Bulgarian tour operators and tour agents interested in the Chinese market.

Tsvetan Simeonov confirmed the readiness of Bulgarian tourism companies and partners from the Balkan countries to offer a combined tourist product, the so-called Balkan Route. He pointed out some of the advantages of the Bulgarian nature, the country’s rich historical past, the numerous mineral springs and spa resorts, natural foods and wines, which attract the tourist flow.
