BCCI will rank Bulgarian Commercial Attaches

As of this year, BCCI starts ranking and awarding Bulgarian commercial services abroad in accordance with their contribution to the access of various Bulgarian goods to foreign markets, attracting investments and increasing the tourist flow to our country. “The minimum level from which the evaluation of a commercial service should start is 100 million Euro exports,” the President of BCCI Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov said at the opening of the second annual meeting of commercial and economic representatives of Bulgaria abroad with the business.

BCCI considers the work of the counselors at the Bulgarian commercial and economic offices abroad an important factor for increasing Bulgarian export and attracting investments. That is why the analyses of the Chamber recommend that the evaluation of the work of these counselors should be made in accordance with the growth of exports to the respective country and how many investments were attracted for the respective period.

BCCI makes a lot of efforts to ease the work of Bulgarian commercial services abroad by compiling the “Bulgaria in Figures 2011” brochure for the second time with the assistance of the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism. The brochure facilitates them in presenting Bulgarian economy. The new, tenth edition of the catalogue of Bulgarian exporters – Bulgaria Trade Directory 2011 also came out.

Besides, every year BCCI collects information from over 5000 financial reports and prepares the Top 100 Classification of the most successful companies in Bulgarian economy a year earlier than the National Statistical Institute, including individual company data in accordance with internationally adopted criteria.

Bulgaria Trade Directory 2011 contains comprehensive information about the investment opportunities which industrial zones in our country provide.

BCCI continues to carry out analyses and assist Bulgarian companies interested in a particular country in establishing direct contact with the counselors at the commercial-economic services abroad. The everyday activity of most of them is very active and useful for Bulgarian companies. Their information and analyses are professionally compiled and are a useful starting point for export-oriented Bulgarian companies in the respective countries.
