BCCI awarded H.E. Mr. Stavros Avgoustides, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus in Sofia with an Honorary Diploma

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented H.E. Mr. Stavros Avgoustides, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Bulgaria with an Honorary Diploma on the occasion of the end of his term of office in the country. Ambassador Avgoustides was awarded for his contribution to the development of the economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Cyprus and for his active collaboration with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During Ambassador Avgoustides’ term of office in Bulgaria, a number of joint initiatives were organized with BCCI, including a Bulgaria – Cyprus Business Forum with the participation of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev and the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades in February 2016.

While accepting the Honorary Diploma, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and especially the President of the Board of Directors Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov for his friendship and fruitful cooperation. „Mr. Simeonov has played and will continue to play a vital role in the promotion of the economic cooperation between the two countries“, Ambassador Avgoustides said.
