The Ambassador of France visited BCCI

H.E. Mr. Eric Lebedel, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France in Bulgaria visited BCCI and met with the Chamber’s President Tsvetan Simeonov. The aim of the visit was to get acquainted to the activity of the Chamber, the services it provides in support of business, as well as the possibilities for expansion of the bilateral cooperation.

Tsvetan Simeonov presented the achievements of BCCI in 2016, emphasizing the Chamber’s accession to the International CO Accreditation Chain of ICC WCF – Paris.

The President of BCCI presented the well working regional structure – with 28 regional chambers of commerce. He pointed out the advantages of the voluntary Unified Trade Register of BCCI, which is available in Bulgarian and English languages, and the fast access to it. The guest was introduced to the activities of the digitized Arbitration Court at BCCI.

The Chamber’s cooperation with partners from France was discussed, its excellent collaboration with the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as support for French investors in Bulgaria.

According to Mr. Simeonov there is untapped potential in the bilateral commercial and economic relations between Bulgaria and France. The President stated that BCCI is ready to assist French investors in the country.
