BCCI and DEIK agreed to actively support entrepreneurs from Bulgaria and Turkey

The President of the Bulgarian-Turkish Economic Council of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov met with his counterpart Mr. Yalçın Eğemen, President of the Turkish-Bulgarian Economic Council for External Economic Relations of Turkey /DEIK/. 
 
Participating in the meeting were the President of the Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Yancho Yanev, the commercial counselor of the Embassy of Turkey in Bulgaria Mr. Emrah Sazak and representatives of the Board of Directors of the Turkish-Bulgarian Economic Council.
During the task meeting, they discussed the current economic situation of Bulgaria and Turkey, the bilateral relations and the opportunities for development of the existing potential. They noted the need for better functioning of the administration, as well as for participation in more joint projects and promoting the incentives for foreign investors. Existing problems for the businesses of both countries, including the visa regime and the need to create joint border control were also topics of the talks.
 
As an extension of the Cooperation Agreement of 1995 signed by BCCI and DEIK, the Presidents of the Joint Councils of the two countries signed a Protocol during the meeting, expressing their consent to jointly promote the economic environment in Bulgaria and Turkey, to inform the public authorities about any problems and obstacles for doing business, to assist small and medium enterprises in finding partners in the relevant country.
