The Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation and BCCI organize business seminar in Sofia

Vasil Gelev, Executive Director of the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and CEE Countries (APACCCEEC) visited BCCI and met with the Chamber’s President Tsvetan Simeonov.

During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Association and BCCI was signed. The need to inform Bulgarian companies about available opportunities on the Chinese agricultural market was emphasized. According the Mr. Gelev, the Asian market is still unknown to a large part of Bulgarian manufacturers and traders, therefore he pointed out the need to provide support in trade management, innovative solutions and useful information for business.

The first results of the Association’s programme show that its activity is pragmatically oriented. With the support of APACCCEEC, a Bulgarian pavilion has been opened in Hangzhou, China. Deals have been made as soon as the first samples were sent on the initiative and with the financial support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. During the meeting, the organization of a joint event by BCCI and APACCCEEC was negotiated – a business seminar giving practical advice, which will take place in Sofia on 10 October 2016. BCCI will additionally provide details about the programme of the event. Seminars will be held in other cities as well – Burgas, Stara Zagora and Plovdiv.
