The agrarian minister of Kosovo visited BCCI
The Minister of Agriculture, Forests and Development of Rural Regions of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, accompanied by his advisers and the Ambassador of Kosovo in Sofia, H.E. Shpend Kallaba, visited the BCCI and had a meeting with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov.
The guests got acquainted with the relations of the Chamber with partner organizations in Kosovo and with the beneficial collaboration with the Embassy in Sofia.
Minister Krasniqi underlined that between the two countries there exist good diplomatic, political and economic relations. He announced that the signing of Memorandum for Collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods of Bulgaria is under consideration, which will contribute to the deepening of the economic relations between the countries.
The topics of the discussion were some ideas for further development of trade and economic relations between the two countries and also the potential sectors of mutual benefit, such as machine-building, food industry and agriculture. Opportunities for import in Kosovo of Bulgarian raw tobacco were considered, because the country has a modern plant for tobacco processing.
The President of the BCCI presented the main macroeconomic indices of Bulgaria and focused on the activities of the Chamber in support of the business. He expressed willingness for cooperation aimed at further activation of the bilateral relations.
