The 9th World Chambers Congress ended in Torino

The 9th World Chambers Congress, which was held in Torino, Italy with the participation of more than 1600 representatives of the business community and the chambers of commerce of more than 120 countries worldwide ended successfully. Bulgaria was represented by the President of BCCI Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.
 
Important chambers’ documents related to legislation formation and the Charter of the chambers of commerce were reaffirmed.
The focus of discussions was on the role of SMEs and strengthening the financial sector. The problems of SMEs in the developing countries were outlined, such as access to the Internet, to innovation, to foreign trade training, and should serve as a reference point for the ICC and the chambers of commerce of some of the developed countries, which also encounter similar difficulties. The accent of discussions was also placed on financing SMEs.
 
During the Congress, the President of BCCI held a number of individual meetings, including with the President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Ibrahim Caglar and the Secretary of the Macro Euro-China Entrepreneurs Club Anna Vicky among others. An invitation was extended to them to visit Bulgaria in the near future. 
 
The next World Chambers Congress will be held in 2017 in Australia.
