Round table at the BCCI on financing innovations

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a round table on financing innovations in SMEs, Scientific Research and Development and research in scientific and educational institutions, as well as joint projects of SMEs with the scientific institutes and universities.

The event was organized by the Innovations and Energy Efficiency Council with the BCCI, jointly with Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).

Subject to discussion were the new opportunities for financing innovations in SMEs in the programming period 2014 – 2020 under the Operational Programmes “Competitiveness and Innovation” and “Science and Education for Smart Growth”, as well as by other programmes.

Some problems were analyzed on financing innovations and Scientific Research and Development in SMEs in the EU Operational Programmes in the programming period 2007 – 2013.

Innovation strategy of the Ministry of Economy and Energy was presented along with the Ministry’s idea for the transition from “tentative” to “confident” innovators until 2020.
