Iraqi company interested in import of Bulgarian traditional food



Muhammad Ismail Seyan, President of the Iraqi company TEAMMART, visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met with President Tsvetan Simeonov.
 
Opportunities for the development of the bilateral economic relations were discussed during the meeting. The Iraqi part showed interest in food industry and the import of traditional Bulgarian food and dairy products. The guest affirmed about Iraq’s stabilization and the North-Iraqi Kurdish autonomy in particular, highlighting that Bulgarian entrepreneurs enjoy a good reputation on the local market and could benefit from the opportunities to develop trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Iraq. 
 
The President of the BCCI noted that the increased interest of the Bulgarian producers and traders in this region is being followed with satisfaction, although   there is still undeveloped potential. He also expressed willingness on behalf of the Chamber to support businesses from both the countries to develop bilateral contacts.
