BCCI hosted a meeting of the Board of Directors of the BSEC Business Council
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as Chairmanship-in-Office of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Business Council (BSEC)* hosted in the first half of 2014, on 20th March, the 48th extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors of the Business Council in Sofia.
Chairman of the BSEC Business Council and President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, presented the priorities of the Bulgarian Chairmanship-in-Office: transport, logistics, regional cooperation, stimulation of the small and medium-sized enterprises and safety.
Partners from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Russia and Serbia discussed the state of the organization and laid emphasis on the representativeness of the BSEC BC, on possible alliances with other business organisations and institutions of the region, joint initiatives and events.
The meeting overviewed the work of the BCCI under the project “Increasing Public Intolerance towards the Informal Sector in Labour and Social Security Relations and Preventive Measures for its Restriction”. The project is implemented with the financial support of the OP “Human Resources Development”.
The Agenda of the Board of the BSEC Business Council continued with a Business Forum for entrepreneurs of common interests in the region on 21st March 2014 in Sofia. The Forum was jointly organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency. The next meeting of the Board of Directors of the BSEC Business Council was scheduled for 16th May 2014 in Sofia again.

* The Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Business Council (BSEC) is an international regional economic organization of the Black Sea countries. At first, it was initiated in 1992 by the Republic of Turkey, and in 1999 it officially becomes a full-fledged international organization. Recent member-countries to the organization are Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
