AOBE announced its priorities for 2014

Business environment, European funds, tripartite dialogue and capital markets will be the priorities of the Association of the Organisations of Bulgarian Employers (AOBE) in 2014. This was announced at a joint press-conference at BTA by the leaders of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bulgarian Industrial Association and Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association, who shared their views.

Reduction of the regulatory regimes, decisive progress on the e-government, alignment of the fees at a cost oriented principle, are stipulated by the outlined work guidelines for the improvement of the business environment.

In the opinion of the BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov, there are three main impediments to business – poor administrative services and related corruption thereof, rather “dynamic” legislation and limited access to finance. He noted that, according to surveys of the BCCI, any significant growth can be expected neither in the domestic sales, nor in employment, and assumed that stagnation could be rather expected or an increase in unemployment following the initiation of the new minimum wage. “The only positive feeling and expectations that we think are feasible, are related to the sales abroad, meaning that we will again rely on exports, and BCCI will do the utmost to support the Bulgarian companies”, added Mr. Simeonov.
