BCCI announced the classifications TOP 100 – leading companies in the economy of Bulgaria in 2012

The 15th edition of the BCCI’s classifications TOP 100 – leading companies in the economy of Bulgaria in 2012 was officially presented on 3 October 2013 at a press conference at the Chamber by its President Tsvetan Simeonov and the experts from the BCCI’s “Analyses” Department Alexander Dimitrov and Olga Chugunska.

The classifications rank the companies of best achievements for the year 2012, based in five categories – 5 860 companies have been included, which makes 76.54% of the country’s GDP.

The classifications show that the best sector, presented on all criteria, is the production of machines and equipment.  The good results in this particular field are due to its export orientation. According to BCCI even in 2014 the export activities will continue to contribute for the growth of the Bulgarian economy.

Despite the drop in the sector of construction every 10th company in the classifications belongs to this particular branch. Implemented by the construction companies public projects have contributed to the good performance of the sector.

Just before the presentation BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov bestowed with certificates of Internship the students of the National High School of Finance and Business and the National Trade and Banking High School, who assisted in collecting the data about the companies for making the classifications.
