The establishment of free economic zone between EU and Ukraine leads to new business opportunities
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Energy in the Republic of Bulgaria, the Embassy to Ukraine in Bulgaria, jointly with the Bulgarian-Ukrainian Industrial Chamber (BUIC) hosted a Bulgarian-Ukrainian conference entitled: „Prospects and new business opportunities – establishment of free economic zone between EU and Ukraine.
Krasin Dimitrov – Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy, Valeriy Piatnicki – authorized deputy to the Ukrainian government on matters of the European integration, BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov, BUIC’s President Lidia Shuleva, representatives of ministries, agencies, businesses and other bodies took part into the discussion. New business opportunities in the context of establishing a free economic zone between EU and Ukraine were presented and discussed at the forum.
„BCCI and the Bulgarian businesses welcome Ukraine’s progress on its way to joining the European Union, as it would bring new dimensions to our bipartite trade relations and mutual cooperation, it would also bring new investment opportunities for both our countries“, said at the inauguration of the conference BCCI’s President, Tsvetan Simeonov.
Krasin Dimitrov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy, emphasized on the expectations that the establishment of free economic zone between Ukraine and EU would appear in favour of the Bulgarian businesses. He also defined the conference as particularly beneficial from that point of view.
The official part of the conference ended with a presentation of a successful business example with Ukraine, presented by Plamen Bobokov, President of the Board of Directors of Prista Oil Holding EAD. He introduced the audience to the new project of the company in Ukraine and defined the country as “most European” of all former Soviet republics.
