Pernik Chamber of Commerce and Industry Celebrated its 20th Anniversary



 

Pernik Chamber of Commerce and Industry celebrated the 20th anniversary of its establishment. The Regional Governor Ivo Petrov, the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov, the founder of Pernik CCI Georgi Chernev, representatives of the Construction Chamber, the labour unions and businessmen attended the event. The Regional Governor of Pernik Region greeted the Chamber on the occasion of its anniversary and wished both the Board of Directors and its members successful and fruitful work. 

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov greeted the management of Pernik CCI and the Chamber’s members with the jubilee. “Pernik Chamber of Commerce and Industry was one of the first regional chambers established in our country after the changes. The Chamber managed not only to survive all crises in the past 20 years, but has come out stronger that before and has continued to assist businesses in the region. Now it is a respected member of the BCCI family, which covers all 28 regions in our country. Through BCCI it is a respected member of the European community of chambers of commerce. Also through BCCI, Pernik Chamber is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and has the ability to contact over 200 world trade centers across the globe. Pernik Chamber of Commerce is one of the most active organizations working for cross-border cooperation. 

Over the years Pernik CCI has preserved the high level and quality of its work, strictly adhering to the rules of the system of regional chambers with BCCI. Companies from the region of Pernik have access to arbitration, which allows them to avoid the country’s clumsy judicial system. For the past three years, cases heard at the Arbitration court with BCCI have tripled their number. This is a clear signal for the authority of the Arbitration Court and the high-quality of its rulings”, said Mr. Simeonov.

On the occasion of the anniversary and for its contribution to the achievement of the goals of chambers of commerce in the country and abroad, Mr. Simeonov presented the President of Pernik CCI Boyka Pavlova with an Honorary Diploma and a Plaque on behalf of the Board of Directors of BCCI.

The Regional Governor Ivo Petrov, the Construction Chamber and SRS “Podkrepa” – Pernik also congratulated Pernik Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the occasion of its jubilee.
