BCCI project will develop a platform to promote technology transfer

The project is implemented within the Erasmus+ Program, with the participation of 6 partner organizations from 6 countries - Bulgaria, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Croatia.

The project consortium was formed by representatives of chambers of commerce and industry, universities, scientific institutes and technology centers.

During the launch meeting of the project, held on March 6-7 this year, in the city of Trabzon, Turkey, the partners discussed the upcoming activities and their implementation deadlines.

As a first step, each partner will prepare a study on the functioning ecosystem at the national level and present "good practices" for technology transfer. Subsequently, a curriculum will be developed and an online pilot training will be conducted to increase the capacity of employees in the field of technology transfer.

A platform will also be developed with a database for innovative scientific developments by industry sectors that can find application in the activities of enterprises to address the challenges related to reducing production waste, improving energy efficiency and digitization.

In the initial survey conducted by the BCCI, it was established that a greater part of Bulgarian higher education institutions are aware of the benefits of technology transfer and for this purpose have created their own structures, the so-called "Technology Transfer Offices" (TTOs) working in this field. During the implementation of the various project activities, the Chamber will rely on the assistance of the universities with which it maintains close cooperation and has signed partnership agreements.
