Kazanlak Chamber of Commerce and Industry Celebrates its 20th Anniversary

 
BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov, presidents of regional chambers of commerce and industry, and representatives of the business community in the region participated in the official celebration of the 20th anniversary of Kazanlak Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

After 20 years, the meaning of BCCI’s idea to establish independent regional chambers operating in a unified system to assist and support the business was confirmed, the President of Kazanlak Chamber of Commerce and Industry Angel Skendrov said in his opening speech.

He presented specific data about the organization’s activity in support of local businesses and to illustrate the constant pursuit of improvement of its services to adapt to the dynamically changing economic environment. The Chamber has its authority and place in the business structure of the town. As a representative of employers – its members, it is an active partner in the Municipal Council for Tripartite Cooperation. It participates in the discussion of employment programmes, programmes for re-qualification and training courses, programmes aimed at reducing unemployment levels, programmes aimed at facilitating work requirements for persons from risk groups and ages.

Despite out activity over the past 20 years, municipal leaders have hardly been interested in our initiatives. During this period Kazanlak Chamber of Commerce and Industry changed 6 offices, without receiving any help or assistance in organizing its material base, Angel Skendrov said. He appealed to the present businessmen, included in the election lists for municipal councilors “Please, take our problems to heart in the Municipal Council. Do justice to our place and role for the business structure of Kazanlak and the region.”
