Representative delegation from Shanghai, China visited BCCI

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a working meeting with a representative delegation from Shanghai, China with interests in the production of medical devices, medical technology and pharmaceutical products.

Georgi Stoev, member of the Board of Directors of BCCI, introduced the guests from the Shanghai Municipal Trade Committee to the economic environment in Bulgaria and the activities of BCCI in assisting Bulgarian and Chinese partners to expand their cooperation.

The visit of the delegation from Shanghai is in continuation of the recent visit to China of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria and accompanying business delegation organized by BCCI and the Administration of the President and the negotiated establishment of strategic partnership between the two countries. The visit was carried out with the assistance of the Head of the Trade and Economic Affairs Office at the Bulgaria Consulate General in Shanghai – Kostadin Dzhatev.

The Chinese partners provided information on the process of registration, legalization and distribution of medical equipment, medicines, food supplements, cosmetics and other specific products, and offered assistance for the sale of Bulgarian medical and pharmaceutical products on the local market.

Georgi Stoev emphasized the advantages of doing business in Bulgaria and the country’s location as an entry point to the EU market.

Representatives of Bulgarian companies and business organizations from the medical equipment and pharmaceutical sectors also took part in the meeting.
