The ambassador of Denmark visited BCCI

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov and the Ambassador of Denmark to Sofia H.E. Søren Jacobsen held a working meeting together. The expert at the Embassy for Economic and Political Affairs, Brian Traanthoft Rasmunssen, also took part in the talks.

Ambassador Jacobsen was acquainted with the current economic situation in Bulgaria - both with the achievements and the unsolved problems. Tsvetan Simeonov presented the most recent edition of the Top 100 ranking, announced by BCCI this week.

The diplomat briefed that a Danish investment is currently under a process of preparation in Bulgaria. During the conversation, a joint meeting with representatives of Danish companies in our country was planned at the end of October this year.

According to information from the Ministry of Economy in 2017, the trade balance in the trade with Denmark is positive, exports have been increased by 13.4% and imports by 16.1%. The products traded in 2017 amounted to EUR 299.7 million.

The largest Danish investments in the Bulgarian companies “Pirinsko pivo” and “Shumensko pivo” belong to the beer production company Carlsberg.
