The Vice-President of BCCI presented the Counsellor at the Japanese Embassy in Sofia with an Honorary Diploma

For his active collaboration with BCCI and the Bulgarian – Japanese Economic Council during his term of office


Georgi Stoev, Vice-President of BCCI and Vice-President of the Bulgarian – Japanese Economic Council (BJEC) at the Chamber presented Mr. Susumu Ueda, Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan in Sofia with an Honorary Diploma.

Mr. Ueda was awarded for his active collaboration with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bulgarian – Japanese Economic Council and for his contribution to the development of the economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Japan during his term of office.

Georgi Stoev expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Sofia and the results achieved last year. Mr. Ueda said that after the visit of the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe to Bulgaria, several visits and mutual events were organized to present the Bulgarian economy in Japan.

The signing of the Economic Partnership Agreement between the European Union and Japan during the EU – Japan Summit Meeting on 17 July in Tokyo was also discussed. Mr. Ueda expressed hope that the Agreement will soon be ratified and lead to real results in the trade and economic relations between the EU and Japan.
