BCCI and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce signed Memorandum of Understanding

Bulgarian – Chinese Business Forum was held at the Chamber

BCCI hosted a Bulgarian – Chinese Business Forum, organized in cooperation with the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sofia.

At the opening of the forum, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented the main advantages of Bulgaria and emphasized the need of uniting the efforts and cooperation between the Balkan countries in order to meet the demand of the Chinese market.

The Chamber’s good cooperation with the Embassy of China in the implementation of various initiatives aimed at expanding the bilateral trade and economic relations was noted. BCCI is one of the founders of the Bulgarian part of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative and is also observing the development of the “16 + 1” initiative between China and the Central and Eastern European countries.

Quan Zhezu, Executive Vice-Chairman of ACFIC pointed out the areas of cooperation between Bulgaria and China within the “One Belt, One Road” initiative – trade, infrastructure, tourism, modernization of industry, and SMEs cooperation.

Madzhide Ahmedova, Deputy Executive Director of Invest Bulgaria Agency presented Bulgaria as a good place to invest, the priority sectors for investment and the place of our country in international economic rankings. Additional information is available HERE.

The official part of the forum ended with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between BCCI and ACFIC. Tsvetan Simeonov said that Chinese companies have yet another serious partner on the Bulgarian market in the face of the Chamber.

The forum continued with bilateral meetings by interests, during which Chinese companies from the following sectors were represented: electricity, alternative energy sources, agriculture, infrastructure, textile industry, machine-building, high technologies, investment, etc.
