BCCI appreciates highly Thomas Bruns’ contribution to the development of the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and the US



On the occasion of the end of the term of office of Thomas Bruns, Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of the United States in Sofia, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed its gratitude towards him and the Commercial Office for their excellent cooperation in favour of the development of the bilateral economic relations.
The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented Mr. Bruns with congratulatory address and one of the first copies of the Almanac dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the chambers of commerce in Bulgaria. 
At the 2014 BCCI Annual Awards, Thomas Bruns was awarded with “Hermes” statuette and Honorary Diploma for his outstanding contribution to enhancing the economic cooperation between Bulgaria and the USA.
Several successful events were organized with the assistance of the Commercial Counselor and his office, among which presentation of the activity and services of the US Embassy for Bulgarian companies, discussion on the “Transatlantic Cooperation Agreement”, a conference on the same topic with focus on SMEs, and a conference promoting regulatory impact assessment.
