Entrepreneurs with family roots in the Balkan countries, united in the BALKANSIAD Association, visited the BCCI

Representatives of the Association of Balkan Industrialists and Businessmen  BALKANSIAD*, uniting entrepreneurs with family roots in the Balkan countries, visited the BCCI for the first time. During the meeting bilateral meetings were held with business representatives from Bulgaria. The event went on with great interest – more than 100 representatives from Bulgarian and Turkish companies took the opportunity to conduct business contacts and meetings.

After welcoming the participants, BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov highlighted that bilateral business forums with Turkey always raise interest thanks to the geographical proximity of the countries. Besides good neighbouring relations between the two countries he also emphasized that Turkey is the country with the largest investments in Bulgaria and focused on the traditionally good relations between the BCCI and partner organisations from our Southern neighbour – both regionally and internationally. BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov presented Bulgaria’s advantages as a place for investment and business.

Emrah Sazak, Chief Commercial Counselor with the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sofia, noted that it was the first major event organized jointly with the BCCI after he took up his term-of-office. He outlined the main macroeconomic indices of Turkey and the potential for development of bilateral relations.

Dr. Aytug Onur, Chairman of BALKANSIAD, presented the town of Bursa – its economic and investment opportunities, foreign trade, and sectors of greatest importance to the local industry. He noted that there are 22 companies of Bulgarian capital share in Bursa, and 214 are involved in exports to Bulgaria.
