The nationally represented Trade Unions and Employers’ Organisations announced their common position on the current public and political situation in our country
Concerned about the unprecedented political crisis that led to the collapse of trust in the state and the state institutions, the nationally represented Trade Unions and Employers’ Organisations – Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria, Confederation of Labour “Podkrepa”, Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria (BICA), Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB), announced their common position on the current public and political situation in our country.
At a press conference held on July, 6 2014 they expressed their firm position that achieving social goals and resolving the problems of business and workers require a dialogue and rational solutions, not a self-serving opposition and intolerance leading to dissatisfaction and tension.
Employers and trade unions urge the political parties represented in the National Assembly and the European Parliament, to reach consensus until August 5, 2014 on the following key issues:
•Large energy projects;
•Partnership Agreement for the period until 2020.
Moreover, the Parliament, within the limited period until August 5, 2014 is to suspend consideration of all bills except for the following:
•Decisions ensuring the necessary financial stability in healthcare and energy;
•All acts related to the statutory requirements of the EU.
