Czech Deputy Prime Minister Martin Pecina opened a Business Forum at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
BCCI hosted a Bulgarian-Czech Business Forum for cooperation in the field of migration control and security on the occasion of the official visit of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Czech Republic, Mr. Martin Pecina.
Deputy Prime Minister noted that in recent years there has been a drop in the Czech export to Bulgaria; therefore the business delegation to Bulgaria was organized. He said that the Czech Republic is interested in the Bulgarian market. Martin Pecina shared the hope that the financial aid granted on behalf of the Czech Republic, though symbolic, would contribute to solving the problem with the refugees in Bulgaria.
BCCI President stated that the Chamber has made proposals in support to businesses regarding the elimination of formalities and impediments, and the creation of better economic environment. He also highlighted that the EU should develop towards competitiveness. “Bureaucracy in the EU should also be reduced; administration should be open to businesses. If it’s possible to make the EU regulations less burdensome, the additional costs businessmen carry within the united European area would be lower”, added Mr. Simeonov. For comparison, he indicated as an example some other centres of economy like the USA and the BRICS group, which have reached significantly lower costs in the field of gas emissions, the trade unions sector. Bulgarian and Czech businessmen have many more obligations, due to the reason that their countries have ratified a great number of the ILO conventions – that is why it is important to reduce these burdens.
H.E. Mr. Pavel Vacek, Ambassador of the Czech Republic, emphasized that those present Czech companies are known on the market and have already been in negotiations with representatives of the Bulgarian business.
After the official part the companies had the opportunity to conduct bilateral meetings with potential partners.
