The Ambassador of Colombia visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry



The Ambassador of Colombia, Hon. Victoria Gonzalez, responsible for Bulgaria and residing in Poland, met with the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Rafael Alvarado, Honorary Consul of Colombia in Bulgaria. 
 
Ambassador Victoria Gonzalez put an emphasis on the significant role that the chambers of commerce and industry play for the development of the international economic relations.  
 
Joint initiatives for the year of 2014 were discussed at the meeting. A presentation before Bulgarian companies is being scheduled regarding the business environment and investments in Colombia in connection with the official visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Latin American country to Bulgaria. BCCI will additionally inform the business communities about the upcoming visit of the Colombian delegation and the organization of a business seminar. 
 
An emphasis was laid on the newly created Pacific Alliance – mechanism for economic and political cooperation between Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
