BCCI Discussed New Economic Opportunities with the Heads of the Trade and Economic Affairs Offices in Kazakhstan and Montenegro

The newly appointed trade representatives abroad of the Trade and Economic Affairs Offices (ТЕАО) – Atanas Nenov in Kazakhstan and Biser Hristov in Montenegro – visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and met with its President, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.

The discussions focused on the economic relations between Bulgaria and the two countries, as well as on the potential for Bulgarian goods to enter these markets.

During the meeting with Atanas Nenov, Head of ТЕАО-Almaty, areas of mutual interest were identified, including the production of agricultural products and machinery for their processing.

The Bulgarian-Kazakh Business Forum, organized by the Chamber this May as part of the Fifth Session of the Bulgarian-Kazakh Intergovernmental Commission in Sofia, delivered positive results.

In the course of the discussion with the Head of TEAO in Montenegro, Biser Hristov informed about an upcoming presentation of Bulgarian business in Podgorica at the end of the year in the fields of food and beverages, as well as other economic sectors. Once the exact date of the event is confirmed, BCCI will additionally inform the interested parties through its communication channels.

Biser Hristov also pointed out that Montenegro is receiving EU grants in sectors such as IT, solar installations, batteries, and others, from which Bulgarian companies may benefit through joint cooperation and projects. Another opportunity for collaboration lies in applying Bulgarian expertise in the establishment of technology parks currently being developed in the country.

During the meetings with the new heads of TEAO, the importance of dialogue between the business communities of the two countries for fostering mutual trade and investment was underlined.

Specific steps for cooperation between BCCI and TEAO in both countries were identified.
