BCCI and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry signed Memorandum of Understanding



Memorandum of Understanding between the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) was signed by the Secretary General of BCCI Vasil Todorov and Shafiul Islam, First Vice President of FBCCI in the presence of the Prime Ministers of the two countries Mr. Boyko Borisov and Mrs. Sheikh Hasina.

A total of four MoUs between Bulgaria and Bangladesh in the economic sphere and between the diplomatic institutes were signed in the presence of the Prime Ministers of the two countries. “I am certain that these agreements which include specific forms of cooperation will give an impetus to new partnerships”, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov commented.

The main topic of the discussion held at the Council of Ministers was enhancing economic cooperation. Its potential, especially in the field of ICT was pointed out. Companies from Bangladesh can invest in high technologies in Bulgaria, in IT and biotechnologies, in the first science-tech park in Bulgaria – “Sofia Tech Park”, said Prime Minister Borisov. He pointed out the excellent opportunities for establishing joint ventures in the field of agriculture and food industry, including for the production of artificial fertilizers to increase crop yields in Bangladesh.  

Mrs. Sheikh Hasina visited our country to participate in the Global Women Leaders Forum that took place in Sofia.
