Bulgarian – Macedonian Business Forum and bilateral meetings at BCCI





The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a Bulgarian – Macedonian Business Forum. The Economic Chamber of Macedonia and the Macedonian – Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce were co-organizers of the event. 
 
The business forum was officially opened by the Vice – President of BCCI Georgy Stoev, who confirmed BCCI’s readiness to assist Bulgarian and Macedonian companies. The Chambers will work together to promote the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, the Executive Director of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia Ms. Jelisaveta Georgieva said. 
 
In order to increase trade volumes with our Southwestern neighbour we need to continue the construction of direct road, railway and air connections.
 
During the forum the need to intensify business partnerships in the field of IT and telecommunications was discussed. To this end, the cable operators of the two countries signed cooperation agreement.
 
More than 90 Macedonian and Bulgarian businessmen were able to meet and exchange ideas and experience during the forum.
