MBA programs at the universities – internationalization of education and greater proximity between business and universities

Presenting the MBA programs at the universities for the internationalization of the education and reaching greater proximity between business and universities was subject to discussion of the work meeting between the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, Prof. Dr. Georgi Chobanov from the Sofia University and Prof. Graham Manville from the Norwich Business School at the University of East Anglia.

MBA programs give opportunities to one or two groups of 3-5 students to study the Bulgarian companies aiming to enter foreign markets, to be able to conduct merger or acquisition, to make a marketing strategy plan, market research on presenting a new product etc.

After making a profile list of the Bulgarian companies confirmed their will to participate into the program teams of students and companies to be studied will be then selected.

Students with previous experiences in the field will be given 150-200 hours to conduct the study and to present a summary report into a format required by the contracting company.

Projects will be implemented free of charge and it is expected that the contracting companies will reimburse the students with part of their transport expenses.

The program is about to start in October 2014.

BCCI will provide more information and the application forms to the companies willing to participate in the MBA programs of the University of East Anglia.
