BCCI hosted the Bulgarian-Chinese Business Forum
There is potential for expanding the Bulgarian exports of pharmaceutical and medical products to China
BCCI hosted the Bulgarian-Chinese Business Forum. The event was held under the heading: “Bulgaria – China, trade and cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals and medical devices”, and was organized jointly with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines.
BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov defined the pharmaceutical sector as a branch of huge development potential. Indicative of this is the fact that the forum was attended by a significant number of Bulgarian companies.
The participants in the forum were welcomed by the Charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Sofia, Mr. Jia Li.
“There is potential for expanding the Bulgarian exports of pharmaceutical and medical products to China”, stated the Deputy Health Minister Boyko Penkov and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy Krasin Dimitrov.
Vice-President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products, Ms. Meng Donping, made a presentation of the Chinese pharmaceutical industry, which has scored an annual growth of more than 20% in the recent years.
