The unconstitutional texts in the Law on Property Disclosure of persons at senior government, public and other posts in the public and private sector have been abrogated



BCCI notifies that on 13th August 2013, in issue 71 of the “State Gazette” the Act amending the Law on Property Disclosure of persons at senior government, public and other posts in the public and private sector has been promulgated, due to which, in relation to the members of the managing and supervisory bodies of the employers’ organizations, it has been:
 
  - cancelled the obligation to disclose their properties;
  - ordered obliteration of their opening declarations from the public register of the National Audit Office;
  - ordered termination of the administrative penal proceedings brought against the said persons until the day of enforcement of this Act;
  - ordered termination, as of the enforcement of the Act, of the initiated audits or inspections against the said persons on Chapters 14 and 15 of the Tax and Social Insurance Procedure Code;
  - ordered to the National Audit Office, within a month  after the enforcement of the Act, to send to the Executive Director of the National Revenue Agency and the President of the State Agency for National Security a list of names of the persons whose obligation of property disclosure has been declined.
 
In a letter to BCCI’s members the President of the Chamber – Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, expressed his gratitude to all who contributed for the accomplishment of the position declared by BCCI regarding the revocation of the unconstitutional texts in the above mentioned law.
 
The promulgation of the law quoted leads to elimination of the impediments against the participation of all the employers’ organizations at the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, whereat BCCI will resume its participation into the operation of that body.
