Ongoing celebrations of the 116th anniversary of the establishment of the Court of Arbitration at BCCI and 60th anniversary of renewing its activities



The European group of arbitration will meet in Sofia in October. The reason why the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry gets the hosting for this prestigious meeting are the 116th anniversary of the establishment of the Court of Arbitration at BCCI and the 60th anniversary of renewing its activities. 
 
The beginning of the arbitration activities within the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was marked by the end of the 19th century, and on 19th February 2013 it has been the 60th anniversary of the renewal of the activities of the Court of Arbitration at the Chamber. The anniversary celebrations of the court in the year of 2013 began in February and are still ongoing.  To mark the occasion of the anniversaries a jubilee collection is being prepared: “Practice of the Court of Arbitration at BCCI”.  
 
In the period after 1993 the Court of Arbitration at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has established as a leading arbitration institution in the country.  
 
The improvement of the instruments, regulating the activities of the Court of Arbitration at BCCI, along with the implementation of a programme for electronic processing of the cases, is of significant importance. 
 
Due to the multidirectional activities of the Court of Arbitration at BCCI, focused on improvement and modernization, the number of the cases considered has been constantly increasing.
 
As a result of its successful activities, the international prestige of the Court of Arbitration at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also quite risen in recent years.
