The Ministry of Economy and Energy along with the Bulgarian businesses in search of ways to expand the export to Russia

What can businesses offer and how to activate the economic relations with Russia – these were the main topics discussed at a meeting in the Ministry of Economy and Energy (MEE) between representatives of various state institutions, non-government organizations and business structures.

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by its President, Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.

Our country will provide complete and updated information on tenders for public procurement in Russia. Links to branch organizations, responsible for maintaining the information, will be placed on the webpage of our Embassy in Moscow, pledged the representatives of the state.

The particular and quite a popular model in Russia for entering the local market – throughout participations in exhibitions – is not actively enough used yet. Such a massive introduction of the Russian customers to the potential of the Bulgarian suppliers has not been done since 2009. Currently the government is involved in organizing such an exhibition at the end of this year in parallel with implementing the next session of the joint Bulgarian-Russian economic committee.

During the meeting it was also noted that the government is making preparations for expanding the activities of the Bulgarian Development Bank in relation to the inclusion of pre-export insurance. The Bulgarian Export Insurance Agency also works in parallel to the field mentioned.
