BCCI Secretary General met with Bulgarian diplomats in Switzerland




 The Secretary General of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vasil Todorov met with H.E. Ivan Piperkov, Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to the United Nations and Head of Bulgaria’s mission in Geneva. Mr. Alexey Andreev who is representative of Bulgaria in a number of international organizations also took part in the meeting.

Ambassador Piperkov got acquainted at length with the activity of the BCCI and the services it provides to its member-companies. Vasil Todorov emphasized the Chamber’s abilities to work with international organizations and opportunities for international cooperation.


BCCI co-operates with OSEC – the Swill Trade Promotion Center; SOFI – the Swiss Investment Promotion Organization; SIPPO – the Swiss Import Promotion Programme, as well as with the joint Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce. 

The Bulgarian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce was established in 2004 in order to assist and stimulate the economic and commercial relations between Bulgaria and Switzerland. The organization is headquartered in Sofia and offers information, contacts and services to its partners from both countries. Enterprises from all sectors of industry are members of the joint chamber, such as manufacturers and service suppliers, importers and exporters, big international companies, and medium and small enterprises. 


Switzerland is a promising economic partner of Bulgaria due to its favourable trade and political regime, the advantageous conditions for re-export, transit, financial and other specific trade and economic operations it provides, as well as its high tech industry and considerable stability of its economy and national currency.
