Positive assessment was expressed of the cooperation between the BCCI and Transparency International

President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov held a meeting with Mark de Pulford from the independent organization "ALEF". During the meeting, the cooperation between BCCI and Transparency International was discussed. Transparency International is an international organization that operates through a network of more than 100 representations around the world. Association "Transparency without borders" is the Bulgarian national representation of Transparency International.

Transparency International mission, as well as the Association "Transparency without Borders", is to unite the efforts of civil society, state institutions, local authorities, representatives of the private sector, the media and the academic community to carry out systemic reforms in governance, to establish the principles of good governance and to take specific actions to control the corruption risk.

On the initiative of the "Transparency without Borders" Association, the Business Integrity Club was established in 2022. The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is among the founders of the club. The club unites companies that work actively on issues of integrity and transparency and put efforts in the fight against corrupt business practices. The club was created under the "Integrity in Business" project of the "Transparency without Borders" Association. It is supported by the Siemens Integrity Initiative and its mission is to build a framework of standards defining the rules of conduct in companies and their interaction with the external environment.

President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov emphasized the importance of continuing the support for the "Integrity in Business" project. BCCI has always encouraged its members to adhere to the concept of good governance and the creation of a quality business environment.

During the meeting, Mark de Pulford expressed his satisfaction with the good cooperation between the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Transparency International.
