Intensification of business relations with the Kyrgyz Republic

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan accredited for Bulgaria organized a presentation of the investment and tourism opportunities of Kyrgyzstan.

In his opening speech to the event, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov stressed that the two countries have many points of contact and with the assistance of the Chamber companies from Bulgaria and Kyrgyzstan can intensify their relations and cooperation in order to enter new markets – the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Ermek Sarybaev, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, presented the country's investment potential. He shared that Bulgaria and Kyrgyzstan already have traditions in the bilateral cooperation. The priority sectors in the Kyrgyz economy, which are also of interest to Bulgarian companies, are agriculture, industry and tourism, in which the efforts of both countries should be directed.

Ermek Kanybekov, Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, presented the opportunities for tourism in the Central Asian country. An important fact is the abolition of entry visas for visits of Bulgarian citizens to Kyrgyzstan lasting up to 60 days. The country is suitable for winter, horse, hunting, and alpine tourism. The launching of a charter airline between Bulgaria and Kyrgyzstan is being prepared.
