BCCI took part in the official opening ceremony of BALKANTÜRK Home in Bursa

Bursa has the ambition to be a leader in cooperation with Balkan countries and investment in the region


The President of BCCI took part in the official opening ceremony of the BALKANTÜRK Home of Balkan traders in Turkey, which took place on 5 May 2018 in Bursa, Turkey. The event was organized by Balkantürksiad – one of the largest business associations of Balkan-origin businessmen and industrialists, in cooperation with Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the local authorities.

In the presence of the Mayor of Bursa, two regional governors, representatives of the diplomatic corps from the Balkan countries positioned in Turkey, and businessmen from Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov addressed the participants in the official opening of the building. In his speech, he highly praised the role of Balkantürksiad for the development of the economic cooperation between the Balkan countries. He noted the significant growth of the economy of Turkey and congratulated the Turkish authorities on the significant progress in the development of infrastructure, which is of utmost importance for the promotion of economic ties.

In his address, the Governor of Bursa Münir Karaloğlu said that the city is the locomotive of the Turkish economy with well-developed automotive, textile and food industries in the region, as well as excellent transport connectivity.

Bursa has the ambition to be a leader in cooperation with Balkan countries and investment in the region.

Tsvetan Simeonov had meetings and talks with the management of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local companies and businessmen.

Since 2013, BCCI has been cooperating with Balkantürksiad and already welcomed delegations of the organization in 2014 and 2017, and organized bilateral meetings with Bulgarian companies.
