Meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius
Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritius Hon. Mrs. Sarojini Seeneevassen-Frers based in Germany, and the newly appointed Honorary Consul of Mauritius in Bulgaria Hristo Iliev, who also chairs the Family Business Association, visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and met with its President Tsvetan Simeonov.
During the talk the President of the BCCI noted that in 2010 the Chamber hosted a business forum dedicated to the investment opportunities in the Republic of Mauritius which was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance and Economic Development of Mauritius, directors of the Investment Board and Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, and over 20 Bulgarian companies.
Subject of the discussion with Ambassador Sarojini Seeneevassen-Frers was the development of the economic cooperation between Mauritius and Bulgaria following the recent opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Mauritius in Sofia and stepping up the economic information exchange between the two countries.
Mrs. Sarojini Seeneevassen-Frers provided the Chamber’s library with an updated information leaflet about Mauritius.
