Bulgarian businesses aim mostly to Germany, Russia and Turkey for conducting their business trips and contacts abroad for 2014. In the second place come China and Serbia which are preferred business destinations for 1/3 of the companies. These were the results of the BCCI survey questioning the members of the Chamber which countries they are interested in for their business visits in 2014.
The survey was conducted electronically end December 2013.
Generally the EU countries (excluding Germany) were seen less interest for business visits compared to the aforementioned European or Asian countries. However, among the most preferred EU destinations emerge Belgium, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Poland and Netherlands which are of interest for the businesses.
Exports of Bulgarian goods abroad are the main reason for the business trips – to almost 80% of the members of the BCCI. At the same time, about half of the companies (47%) aim to find foreign partners for joint investments in Bulgaria.
Engineering, services, construction, food industry and electronics are the sectors to which most of the respondents show interest to meeting potential business partners from abroad.
