Representatives of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development – Bulgaria (CEED Bulgaria) are on a working visit to Armenia within the framework of the project "Functionally Sustainable Migration and Integration in Bulgaria" (FSMI in Bulgaria), implemented with the support of the Ministry of Interior and co-financing from the European Union.
The visit is part of the international information campaign under the project, aimed at promoting the created online platform for connecting Bulgarian employers with job seekers from third countries – BGJobs
The program of the visit began with a meeting at the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), during which the prospects for the development of bilateral economic relations and the opportunities for future cooperation between Bulgaria and Armenia were discussed.
Karen Ivanov, Vice President of the ACCI, congratulated the participants and emphasized the good partnership between the two chambers of commerce and industry, as well as the positive dynamics in the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Armenia. The parties discussed opportunities for expanding trade exchange, promoting exports, and developing joint initiatives.
The representatives of the Armenian Chamber informed that they are planning a visit to Sofia in August this year, when the signing of a new memorandum of cooperation between the two organizations is envisioned.
Within the framework of the meeting, the activities of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED) and the project for attracting workforce from Albania, Armenia, Vietnam, Ukraine, and Moldova were presented. Gabriela Dimitrova, Director of "International Cooperation and International Organizations" at BCCI, presented the BGJobs platform and the upcoming online information events aimed at promoting job opportunities in Bulgaria.
The Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed interest in the initiative and support for its goals. Opportunities for promoting the project through universities, business organizations, and professional communities, with a focus on young specialists and potential job candidates, were discussed.
During the discussion, emphasis was placed on the shortage of qualified personnel in Bulgaria and the need for effective mechanisms to connect employers with suitable candidates from abroad. Good international practices in the field of vocational training and personnel preparation were also presented.
The meeting concluded with a confirmation of the mutual interest in deepening the partnership between the BCCI and the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as with anticipation for the upcoming joint initiatives in the following months.
