EU-Japan Relations: Diplomacy, Politics and Economics





 

BCCI hosted a lecture entitled "EU-Japan relations: diplomacy, politics and economics" presented by Lilia Chausheva, PhD student at the Faculty of History at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
 
The event was officially inaugurated by Georgi Stoev, BCCI Vice-President and co-chair of the Bulgarian - Japanese Economic Council.
 
H. Exc. Takashi Koizumi, Japan's Ambassador to Bulgaria, presented the priorities of the open negotiations starting in April for economic cooperation between the EU and Japan this year. Ambassador Koizumi pointed out that from the Japanese point of view these negotiations would lead to an Economic Partnership Agreement. He also emphasized on the results of the Agreement for Bulgaria: improvement of the investment environment, facilitation of the access of Japanese companies to the Bulgarian market, promotion of foreign direct investments between both countries.
