Personality in the News 2012 Annual Awards









The Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova and the President of the Party of European Socialists Sergey Stanishev are “Personalities in the News” in 2012. They were honoured in the "Politics" category in one of the biggest Bulgarian media published in English - Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency), and Novinite.bg – a leading Bulgarian site. The other two categories in the ranking were "Business" and "Diplomacy".

BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov awarded both winners in the "Business" category, selected by the readers of Novinite.bg - Peter Simon, Country Manager of ABB in Bulgaria and Orlin Popov, CEO of "Happy Bar & Grill" restaurants.
 
Dutch Ambassador to Bulgaria Karel van Kesteren is "Personality in the News" 2012 in the "Diplomacy" category. The second prize in the same category was for the Ambassador of Turkey Ismail Aramaz.
 
On 7th January the third news site Novinite.ru - entirely in Russian language was officially launched, created by the team of Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) and Novinite.bg.
