Meeting with Turkish partners held at BCCI

Tsvetan Simeonov, President of BCCI and Co-Chair on the Bulgarian side of the Bulgarian-Turkish Economic Council met with his counterpart - the Chairman of the Turkish-Bulgarian Economic Council to the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) Mr. Osman Ak. The Chairman of the Bulgarian – Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Fikret Ince, the Chief Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of Turkey in Sofia Mr. Emrah Sazak, members of the Council and the joint chamber, and the President of Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Yancho Yanev also took part in the meeting.

The main topic of discussion was the upcoming business forum, which will take place in Istanbul on 2 April 2018, on the occasion of the visit of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Bulgaria Emil Karanikolov to the Republic of Turkey.

The business forum will be accompanied by bilateral meetings of Bulgarian and Turkish business representatives. The event aims to promote direct contacts between companies from both countries while creating favourable conditions for the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, production cooperation, introduction of good manufacturing and commercial practices, establishment of business partnerships, transfer of knowledge and technologies, etc. As an end result, the trade turnover between Bulgaria and Turkey is expected to be activated and mutual initiatives to be stimulated.
