Maria Angelieva, Bulgaria's New Ambassador in Hungary, Visited BCCI

The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr Tsvetan Simeonov held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria in Hungary – Ms Maria Angelieva.

The economic and investment ties between the two countries were discussed, with putting an emphasis on the interaction at the level of the chambers of commerce, which is excellently developing. Mr Simeonov pointed out that just a month ago, a Business Forum was held in the town of Kecskemét, Hungary, in which many Bulgarian and Hungarian companies took part during the Days of Bulgaria in Hungary organised by our country's Embassy in Budapest.

BCCI President announced that a follow-up to the event is prepared and it will take place in the spring of 2026 in Sofia and Samokov.

Ms Angelieva identified her priorities within her mission as a Diplomat in Hungary and confirmed her intention to support the development of bilateral economic relations. Our country has a very active Trade and Economic Affairs Office in the Hungarian capital which is expected to continue to play an important role in the active business exchange.

Ambassador Angelieva has experience as a Diplomat in London. She has been a Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
