Future joint initiatives as part of the cooperation between China and CEE countries were discussed

BCCI’s representative in China Lachezar Dinev met with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov. Future joint initiatives as part of the cooperation between China and the CEE countries (“16+1”) were discussed, as well as BCCI’s membership in the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce. Bulgaria will host a meeting in the framework of the “16+1” initiative in the second half of 2018.

During the meeting, the need for measures to be taken by the government and the business community in order to achieve greater visibility of Bulgaria on the Chinese market and attract Chinese investors was discussed.

Dinev pointed out that it is of utmost important to train more Bulgarian employees with Chinese language in order to overcome the language barrier, to advertise the tourist potential of Bulgaria at the leading tourism fairs in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, as well as to reform the banking system.

In recent years, the “16+1” cooperation has developed significantly in the field of politics, economy and trade, transport and logistics, connectivity.
