BCCI signed Memorandum of Understanding with Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry

During the Bulgarian – Maltese Business Forum held on 5 February, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry. The document was signed by the Presidents of the two chambers – Tsvetan Simeonov and Francis Farrugia, in the presence of the Heads of State of the two countries Rumen Radev and Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca. The MoU provides for joint actions in support of business, fostering trade and economic cooperation and investment.

A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Gozo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Malta). The document envisages cooperation in the field of tourism, investment and trade.

More than 40 Maltese and 150 Bulgarian businessmen took part in the forum organized on the occasion of the official visit of the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca to Bulgaria.

During the Maltese visit, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov met with the Head of the business delegation – the President of Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry Francis Farrugia. They discussed the current economic situation in Bulgaria and Malta, the system of chambers of commerce, the membership of the two organizations in the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) and upcoming joint initiatives.
