Regular Meeting of the Conference of Chairs of the BCCI and RCCI (Chambers)







The Regular Meeting of the Conference of Chairs of the BCCI and the Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Chambers) took place in the village of Voneshta voda – Veliko Tarnovo during the 3-day seminar on Health and Safety at Work on July 15-17. 
 
Lecturer of the seminar was one of the best experts in the field – Kiril Tyulev, member of the Board of Directors of the WPC-Plovdiv and Director of NVTC–Plovdiv. He introduced the members of the Conference to the main laws and sub-laws and regulatory requirements, regulations, rules and measures for health and safety at work. Interesting videos were demonstrated of “good” and “bad” practices of accidents at work. Knowledge of the participants was tested by case studies, and personal certificates were handed after the test results. 
 
After the training the first positive results of the activities of the Career Development Centers were presented. 
Regionally established – in Sofia and in the cities where all 28 Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Chambers) operate within the structure of the BCCI, under the Project “Increasing public intolerance towards informal economy in employment and social security relations and preventive measures to reduce it”, these centers offer employees opportunities for career guidance and growth, and for professional realization. They create conditions to enhance labor mobility for greater flexibility of the labor market.
 
The discussions were focused on current matters of organization, as well as on issues related to the economic development of our country.
 
Information on the circulated summaries by the BCCI and RCCI (Chambers) to the authorities on important economic issues for the last six months was also presented. 
 
Data was brought forward on their participation in the Councils for Tripartite Cooperation along with regular information on the activity of the regional chambers on their interaction and cooperation with the local authorities. Measures were outlined on how to improve the operation of the representative offices of business at a regional level.
